When Cattitudes Become Form is a collective show of art projects for cats, initiated by artist Eric Maillet.

Collective
WCBF is a call for entries work ethic, open to everyone. All proposals will be selected provided that they are not off topic and they fit into the required form: a standardized one-page form plus an optional one-page appendix (these documents can be found in the "downloads" section of this website).
Each participant remains ownership of their idea but gives the project organizers the standardized form filled in and thus the rights to present this form following the condition that this will be an element of the whole project.

Show
A set of proposals is shown in a place and made public. The project evolves and can make different exhibitions. This set of proposals is also displayed on the website WCBF as a way of to archive of all data from previous exhibition.
Some of the exhibitions may be commercial, in which case the selling price is the same for each proposal, and will be shared at fifty/fifty between the author and the organization in case of sale.

Art projects
Participants are asked for the project, not a finished piece. This project will be further realized or not, by author or by someone else; what matters for WCBF is the elaboration of a set amount of projects that will be exposed as projects. Each project fits a standardized form, and all the contributions constitute a database, both in the exhibition place and on the WCBF website.
The participants can submit one or more projects; each project must be on a separate form.

For cats
Each piece, as described in the standard form, must be for one or more cats. It is not about conceiving projects that represent or evoke cats, but projects designed for feline audience; in this case human audience being a mere spectator of cat-artwork interaction.

When Cattitudes Become Form ("Quand les Chattitudes Deviennent Forme") est une exposition collective de projets d'oeuvres d'art pour chats, imaginée par l'artiste Eric Maillet.

Exposition
Un ensemble de propositions sont accrochées dans un lieu et rendues publiques. Le projet évolue et donne lieu à différentes expositions. Cet accrochage est redoublé sur le site web de WCBF par l'archivage de tous les éléments de l'exposition.
Certaines expositions peuvent être commerciales, dans ce cas le prix de vente est le même pour chaque proposition, et se verra partagé à 50/50 entre l'auteur et l'organisation en cas de vente.

Collective
WCBF est basé sur un appel à projet, la participation est ouverte à tous. Toutes les propositions seront retenues à condition qu'elles ne soient pas hors sujet et qu'elles s'inscrivent dans la forme demandée : un formulaire standardisé d'une page plus une annexe optionnelle d'une page (ces document doivent être téléchargés sur le site web du projet).
Chaque participant reste propriétaire de son idée mais cède gracieusement aux organisateurs du projet son formulaire standardisé et en concède les droits de présentation à la condition que son formulaire soit partie de l'ensemble du projet.

Projets d'oeuvres
Il est demandé aux participants un projet d'oeuvre, et non une oeuvre réalisée. Ce projet sera ultérieurement réalisé ou pas, par l'auteur ou par quelqu'un d'autre, peu importe. Ce qui importe pour WCBF est la constitution d'un ensemble de projets qui seront exposés en tant que projets. Chaque projet est inscrit dans une forme standardisée, et l'ensemble constitue une base de données, tant dans le lieu d'exposition que sur le site web de WCBF.
Chaque participant peut proposer un ou plusieurs projets ; pour chacun de ses projets il doit remplir un formulaire séparé.

Pour chats
Chaque oeuvre telle que décrite dans le formulaire standardisé de projet doit être destinée à un ou des chats. Il ne s'agit pas d'imaginer des oeuvres qui représentent ou évoquent des chats, mais des oeuvres conçues pour un public félin, le public humain n'étant dans ce cas que témoin d'une interaction oeuvre-chat(s).
